Austria (German: Österreich, literally “the Eastern Realm” or “Eastern Empire”) is a landlocked alpineGerman speaking country in Central Europe bordering Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west, Germany and Czech Republic to the north, Slovakia and Hungary to the east and Slovenia and Italy to the south. Austria, along with neighbouring Switzerland, is the winter sports capital of Europe. However, it is just as popular for summer tourists who visit its historic cities and villages and hike in the magnificent scenery of the Alps.

We Visited Vienna for 5 days and loved the Austrian capital. We found lots of things to do in Vienna. Some of the things to see in Vienna include the Schonbrunn Palace and the Belvedere Palace. In the Vienna city centre you will find State Opera house, Crown jewels exhibition and St Stephens Cathedral. The Austro Hungarian Empire left a city like no other. Vienna attractions for families include the Prater Amusement Park and the Schonbrunn Zoo.
