Where is Lotte Mart Da Nang?
Lotte Mart is located just over the river from the beach area of Da Nang at 26MH+WM Da Nang, Hải Châu District, Da Nang, Vietnam. The easiest way to get there is to catch a Grab. Read this great article on using Grab in Vietnam
Lotte Mart Da Nang is located in the centre of the city not far from Sun World theme park and just over the bridge from the beach area.
What is Lotte Mart Da Nang?
Lotte Mart is 5 floors of shops, restaurants, supermarket and an entertainment centre all rolled into one.
First Floor
On the first floor, you will find a number of restaurants to eat at. There is a KFC, Lotte Cafeteria, 2 Korean restaurants and a coffee shop. They are always packed with people eating and we found the food there good and value for money.
Be aware of a lot of food outlets only accept cash. Both KFC and Lotte Cafeteria did not accept credit cards. We tried to use the card but we had to use an ATM out the front to withdraw cash before we could pay for our food. Vietnam is a big cash society.
Second Floor
On the second floor has a Chinese restaurant and Korean tea outlet. For shopping, you will find clothes, sunglasses, luggage, toys and more.
Third and Fourth Floor
The third floor is where Lotte Mart may start to come in handy for travellers. You see there is a big hypermart supermarket spread out over 2 floors. On the first floor of the supermarket, you will find
- Cooking Utensils
- Pot and Pans
- Towels
- Stationery
- First Aid
- Electronics
- Baby supplies
- Toothpaste
- Shaving Supplies
- Clothing
- Washing Detergent
- Entertainment
- Hair Dryers
Now, this floor is connected to the 4th floor by an internal escalator. So you can pay and leave from floor 3 or you can take your goods to the 4th-floor grocery department and check out all the items at once.
On floor 3 you will also find a chemist for all your medicinal needs. This Da Nang shopping centre is a one-stop shop.
For Western travellers, Lotte Mart Da Nang floor 4 will have many food products you can buy at home that are not usually sold in the corner market in Asia. Items like:
- Minced meat
- Spaghetti sauce
- Breadsticks
- Cheese
- Sliced meats
- Fruit
- Vegetables
- Eggs
- Bacon
- Corn Flakes
- Rice Bubbles
- Yoghurt
- Wine
- Butter
This supermarket has a coffee section bigger than I have ever seen before. A big open planned section serving samples and two rows of coffee. Selling beans from every corner of the globe. The 2 in one coffee is very popular in Vietnam. Just empty a satchel into a cup, add water and you are ready to go.
Plus you will find all the major Asian brands and products that locals love. Lotte Mart Da Nang is very popular so be prepared to duck and weave your way through the people. The 15,000 VND Bahn Mi is great value for lunch at under $1 (AUD/USD/Euro)
You can head to the cash register here and pay for your combined items from floors 3 and 4.
Lotte Mark Da Nang products are that popular they have a counter outside where you can have your product boxed for shipping. We witnessed many people buying large amounts of coffee and dried goods for shipping home.
If you are also shopping in other areas or shopping with luggage there are lockers for you to store your belongings in as you shop. If you are unsure if you need a locker or not the friendly door attendant will guide you to one if you need it.
Fifth Floor
The 5th floor of this Da Nang shopping centre is dedicated to entertainment. You will find a cinema showing the latest movies and you will find them in both Vietnamese and English language movies.
There is an arcade with video games and a 10 pin bowling alley. A small food court is set up for you to drink and eat at. Lotte Mart DanNnag floor 5 is entertainment central.
We visited Lotte Mart Da Nang on at least 6 occasions for food, health care products and to eat in the restaurants. We found it easy to find, easy to shop in and finding help was easy when we were unsure as most staff wanted to help us. If you are visiting Vietnam on a budget then this is a brilliant place for you to shop.
It had some brands we could recognise and some we sampled from the constant line of testers available which may have added to our basket on a few occasions.
This Da Nang shopping centre is the only place you need to go for all your supplies while vacationing in Da Nang. We hope this post from us here at Wyld Family Travel has given you all of the best information you need to make your shopping in Da Nang easier.
