In a city is expensive as Zurich, how does a free bike rental sound. In the city of Zurich, city bikes, e-bikes and children’s bikes can be hired for free. As they say, the early bird catches the worm, and a free bike is the same. You must be up and ready to get your bike every morning between 8an and 9.30 am. Just head to the bike station at the Zurich train station with a valid ID (for foreigners I would suggest a passport) and 20 CHF deposit. Alternatively, You will find bike tours are the best way to go if you want to get an up-close and personal experience of the city. You will either have a guide to point out all the important attractions or a map to follow.
