On August 6, 1945, at 8:15 a.m., the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The bomb exploded about 600 meters above the ground and destroyed nearly everything within a 2-kilometre radius of the explosion site. Tens of thousands of people were killed instantly or died soon after from injuries or radiation exposure.

You can purchase deer crackers to feed them, but be aware that they can be pretty aggressive!

You can easily spend a full day exploring the park and its many attractions, and there are also plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops in the area. Overall, Nara Deer Park is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Kyoto, and it’s a great way to experience Japan’s unique cultural heritage and natural beauty.
